Riding

  1. Before riding your motorbike, make sure that the side stand is securely up in its place. If it is sticking out, bike control will be difficult when negotiating turns.
  2. Warm up the engine. When the engine is running smoothly, pull the clutch lever and put it into first gear by foot-pressing the gearshift pedal.
  3. Release the clutch lever slowly while opening the throttle to gradually increase engine speed. A proportionate clutch lever and throttle balance can make the motorcycle run smoothly.
  4. When the motorcycle is moving at a moderate speed, close throttle at the same time while pulling the clutch lever and change into 2nd gear by pressing gearshift pedal. Change into 3rd and 4th gear by repeating the same procedure.
  5. Do not forget pulling the clutch and closing the throttle before you change gear or strong jerks at high speed can damage both the engine and the drive chain.
  6. Use front and rear brakes simultaneously, but not with such power which may jam
the wheel. This will make controlling motorcycle difficult.
