Braking
- In order to reduce speed, apply front or rear brakes in a gentle synchronized manner according to the speed of the motorbike. Applying fully any one of the brakes can suddenly jam the wheel which will make controlling motorcycle difficult.
- Reduce speed or brake before turning. Applying brakes or closing throttle in the middle of a turning maneuver can cause the wheel to slip.
- When the road is wet or dusty, controlling & braking the motorcycle becomes more difficult. In such situations, all your actions must be carefully calculated. Sudden braking or increasing of speed or turning may cause you to lose control of the motorcycle. For safety s sake, exercise extra caution while braking, increasing speed or turning.
- While descending from steep slopes, apply both brakes intermittently along with changing gears to use engine compression as a braking force. Non-stop braking heats up the brakes and
makes them ineffective.
